Self Love

Self Love. How can it be that loving yourself is so difficult? Too fat, too skinny, too loud, too bossy. Many of us, particularly women, may recognize a pattern of talking down to ourselves, feeling like we're never good enough and we never do enough. Where this all comes from is a discussion that would need weeks to explain, involving how we grew up, society's expectations on women and the pressure we feel from social media to look and be a certain way. Yet, we must find ways to center ourselves and accept ourselves as we are, despite the constant loudness around us that tells us we should be more like this and less like that. We need to find small moments each day where we tell ourselves: "You Are Enough!" This piece reflects those moments of kindness you give yourself. It's a reminder to shut out the loud negative noices and focus on what you like about yourself, based on your own criteria, not someone else's. Love yourself!
